Description
Fruit borer moth is a serious threat to Fruits. The worms make holes in the fruit and insert only the head into the fruit and eat the fruit. Worm excretion can be seen in the nuts. Butterflies with brown spots on white wings attack stalks and pods. In young stems and pods, the moth penetrates and eats the inside. Attacked rods wither and burn. Moth infested holes can be seen in the nuts.
Solutions:
- Sprinkle 5% neem seed extract.
- Cut and destroy the damaged parts.
- When transplanting seedlings, put neem cake in the soil.
